Position Overview: Samuel Engineering Inc. is seeking motivated high school juniors or beyond to join our team as General CAD Drafting Interns. This intern-to-hire program is designed to provide hands-on experience in CAD drafting, supporting our engineering projects, and developing practical skills in a professional environment. Successful interns will have the opportunity to be considered for full-time employment upon graduation.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in creating detailed technical drawings and plans using CAD software.
• Work closely with senior drafters and engineers to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Revise and update existing drawings to reflect changes and corrections.
• Organize and maintain CAD files and documentation.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to project discussions.
• Perform basic calculations and analysis to support design decisions.
• Adhere to company standards and protocols for drafting and design.
• Assist in other tasks related to engineering projects as needed.

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS PER JOB LEVEL
• Completed at least your junior year of highschool, with intention to enter the workforce full-time after graduating high school or technical school.
• Basic understanding of CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) is preferred.
• Strong interest in engineering, architecture, or related fields.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
