Job Purpose

This internship provides hands‑on experience in warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, and inventory control. The intern will support daily material‑handling activities, learn best practices for accurate inventory management, and contribute to safe and efficient workflow within the facility. This internship runs from May '26 - August '26.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Workplace Conduct

• Prioritize safety in all tasks and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work environment.
• Demonstrate professionalism, respect, and integrity in all interactions.


Shipping & Receiving Support

• Assist with receiving incoming materials, verifying quantities, and checking for accuracy and quality.
• Help prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and staging materials for pickup.
• Participate in loading and unloading freight vehicles under supervision.
• Learn and support the preparation of basic shipping documentation.


Inventory & Warehouse Operations

• Support inventory accuracy by helping with cycle counts and monthly inventory checks.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining warehouse storage areas to ensure materials are stored safely and correctly.
• Learn to perform basic SAP or inventory‑system transactions (training provided).
• Monitor stock of shipping supplies and notify team members when replenishment is needed.


Cross‑Functional Collaboration

• Work with Production, Inventory Control, Procurement, Quality, and Customer Service teams to understand how materials flow through the organization.
• Communicate effectively with team members to support production goals and timely material delivery.


Continuous Improvement

• Participate in improvement initiatives related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
• Offer observations and ideas to enhance workflow efficiency and accuracy.

Experience/Education/Skills

Qualifications:

• Pursuant to a degree in business or a related field is required.
• Business courses/ training including, accounting, general business, business ethics, MS Office (Preferred)
• SAP experience not required but is a plus
• Follow all publicized safety policies/procedures applicable to the job
• Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment that has been identified on the Hazard Analysis for the department/role
• Attend and participate in all safety training, safety meetings, audits and Behavior Based Safety programs assigned
• Report all safety hazards observed.


Working Conditions

• Indoor production environment, adequate lighting and comfortable temperatures, some work outside may be required, Occasional exposure to moderate noise and machinery with mechanical moving parts.


Physical Requirements:

• Frequent repetitive hand movements, using hand tools – pliers, sanders, scissors, etc
• Frequently remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time
• Frequently move about the facility indoors as well as outdoors
• Regularly move tools and equipment up to >25 lbs.
