(200 Hours available for SUMMER) Hourly Rate-$16.00 per hour
State College is hiring an Intern to join the Planning team**. **The position will work closely with Planning & Community Development staff to complete tasks, reports, and projects. This is a summer internship with a total of 200 hours available for work this summer (Schedule to be determined) and the rate of pay is $16.00 per hour**.**
Projects and tasks to be completed by the intern include, but are not limited to:
• converting zoning files and land development plans to electronic format and adding to the Borough's permitting system (TRAISR)
• troubleshooting and updating rental permit information in multiple computer systems
• contributing to Borough zoning and other land use permitting system improvements
• research on planning, zoning and sustainability policy issues
• field research in support of planning and zoning project (primarily the Borough's new zoning ordinance)
• and other duties as assigned.
Planning, Geography, Landscape Architecture, Real Estate and Community, Environment & Development (CED) students in their second, third or fourth year are preferred and encouraged to apply.
