Internship Description

Fresh Tape Media is seeking a Business Development Intern to support our growth team in identifying, engaging, and nurturing new business opportunities. This role is ideal for someone curious, resourceful, and interested in content, culture, and brand partnerships.


You’ll work closely with the Head of Business Development to help build and maintain a strong pipeline, support outreach efforts, and contribute to systems that drive long-term growth.


Responsibilities Include:
Prospecting & Pipeline Development
• Research and identify prospective clients across key industries (sports, lifestyle, brand, commercial, and entertainment)
• Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads
• Support outbound outreach efforts (Email, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Ensure inbound opportunities are qualified and routed within 48 hours


Account & Relationship Support
• Support development of account growth plans and at times, tasks related to project work in support of account managers
• Coordinate client touchpoints (e.g., follow-ups, thank-you notes, gifting)


Events & Industry Outreach
• Research and track key industry events and conferences
• Support pre- and post-event outreach strategies


BD Operations & Reporting
• Maintain accurate records in CRM (leads, opportunities, client interactions)
• Assist with monthly and quarterly account and pipeline reporting
• Support preparation for leadership reviews
• Contribute to BD process documentation (SOPs)


Brand & Industry Presence
• Support award submissions and deadline tracking
• Assist with initiatives that elevate Fresh Tape’s industry presence
• Participate in team and community initiatives


Basic Qualifications
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field
• Interest in sports, entertainment, or creator economy
• Experience with cold outreach, sales, or partnerships (even informal)
• Strong research, organization, and attention to detail
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Proactive, self-starter with a willingness to learn
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with Google Suite, Asana, Slack and CRM tools
