MLM Transport Sales & Operations Intern


About The Role:


We’re looking for a driven, ambitious Sales & Operations Intern who’s ready
to gain hands-on experience in sales and logistics operations. You’ll support
both customer-facing sales efforts and internal freight execution, learning how
to prospect, pitch, and keep shipments moving. You’ll learn how to manage
customers and how a logistics company keeps freight flowing smoothly.

This is a paid internship with a rate of $14/hour. Interns are required to work
a minimum of 20 hours per week in our Gulfport office.


What You'll Do:


• Assist the sales team and learn how to prospect, generate leads, and build
targeted customer lists
• Help prepare customer presentations, quoting sheets, and sales materials
• Support CRM updates, data cleanup, and tracking customer activity
• Participate in outreach campaigns (email, LinkedIn, phone) to support new business development
• Shadow sales reps to learn the full sales cycle — from prospecting to closing


Operations Support


• Learn how freight is scheduled, tracked, and managed from pickup to delivery
• Assist with shipment updates, appointment scheduling, and documentation
• Communicate with carriers to confirm capacity, rates, and service requirements
• Support the operations team in resolving service issues, delays, or exceptions


Operational and Sales Integration


• Gain insight into both the sales and operations sides of a logistics company
• Learn how pricing, market conditions, and capacity impact decision-making
• Collaborate with multiple departments to understand how freight moves end-to-end
