Primary Objective: To gain hands-on experience in agricultural marketing and communications while supporting IAS through content creation, digital marketing, and marketing operations.
Projects For Summer 2026
• Capture photo and video content at IAS locations, in the field, and at events
• Assist in creating short-form content for social media and digital platforms
• Draft and schedule social media posts and support campaign execution
• Lead an Instagram takeover featuring IAS agronomy interns and field experiences
• Assist in building and scheduling email campaigns, including drip campaigns
• Support audience segmentation and list organization
• Assist with promotion and content support for the IAS Market Talk: Crop Walk Edition podcast
• Participate in internship program activities, trainings, and team meetings
• Attend Seeding Hope & Innovation Committee meetings
Preferred Majors: Marketing, Communications, Agriculture, Journalism, or related field
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Interest in both creative content and data-driven marketing
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Teamwork and willingness to help
• Experience with social media, design programs, Excel, or email marketing tools is a plus
Physical Requirements/Environmental Adaptability
• Requires static strength to lift, push, pull, or, on occasion, carry objects with a minimum weight of 50 pounds. Also, flexibility to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs. Some tasks involve repetitive motion.
• Agricultural Environment - Possible exposure to seasonal weather, outdoor conditions, and agricultural products.
