Internship Description

Chief Executive Group seeks an Events Intern to support our team during our peak events season. This is a part-time hybrid internship (20-25 hours per week) from May through December located in Brentwood, TN with opportunities to travel to/attend one or two of our conferences.


Key Responsibilities:
• Support events team with virtual event logistics
• Assist in the management of and communication with all attendees on important event details through email and over the phone
• Support creation and maintenance of event app with attendee lists, sponsor resources, and speaker handouts
• Manage continuing education credits (CPE) and monitor attendee participation at applicable events, create and distribute certificates post-event
• Research and coordinate vendors for events for branded items, signage, name badges, etc.
• Assist with tracking and summarizing survey responses for attendees pre- and post-event for coordination of onsite activities, roundtable groups and feedback
• Support execution of sponsor deliverables for all events, including creating attendee dossiers
• Various administrative tasks to support the events team as needed, including printing and shipping collateral and necessary supplies to in-person events


Qualifications:
• Undergraduate student (hospitality management, communications, general business administration, marketing, or public relations majors preferred)
• Strong interest in event planning or related marketing/communications field
• Project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Fast learner with an entrepreneurial spirit that works well under pressure
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities with shifting priorities and timelines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Passion for providing an exceptional customer experience
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
