We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Underwriter Intern to join our team in New York City. This is an entry-level opportunity designed for a recent graduate who is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to build a career in private credit and fintech. This internship has a clear path to a full-time role based on performance.
You will be hired through Pinnacle Private Credit and work directly with our fintech CRM platform team, supporting underwriting efforts within a direct lending environment.
What You’ll Do
• Assist in evaluating credit opportunities and underwriting new deals
• Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and key risk factors
• Support the development and execution of underwriting models
• Work closely with the Senior Underwriter and Product Designer to improve underwriting workflows within our CRM platform.
• Conduct market and industry research to support investment decisions
• Help streamline and optimize internal processes within a fast-growing fintech environment
What We’re Looking For
• Recent graduate (or graduating soon) in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills (must be comfortable working with numbers)
• High attention to detail and ability to think critically
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Interest in private credit, lending, or fintech
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
