POSITION SUMMARY
The Chief of Staff Graduate Intern serves as a strategic partner to the President of Clearwater, enabling effective leadership, operational excellence, and execution of key business priorities. This role acts as a force multiplier—driving alignment across teams, managing critical initiatives, and ensuring the President’s time and focus are optimized for maximum impact.
A critical component of this role is leading and accelerating Clearwater’s adoption of AI—identifying opportunities, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring AI initiatives translate into measurable business value.
Specific Job Responsibilities
• Strategic Execution & Planning
• Translate the President’s vision into actionable priorities and ensure consistent execution across the organization
• Drive cross-functional initiatives from concept through completion
• Monitor progress on strategic goals, identify risks, and implement corrective actions
• AI Strategy & Transformation
• Partner with the President and leadership team to execute Clearwater’s AI strategy
• Identify high-impact opportunities to apply AI across operations, products, and customer experience
• Drive adoption of AI tools and workflows to improve efficiency, decision-making, and scalability
• Coordinate cross-functional AI initiatives, ensuring alignment between technical and business teams
• Track emerging AI trends and assess their relevance to Clearwater’s business
• Executive Support & Leverage
• Serve as a trusted advisor and sounding board to the President
• Prepare briefings, talking points, and decision frameworks for internal and external engagements
• Manage and prioritize the President’s agenda to align with company objectives
• Operational Leadership
• Improve internal processes to increase efficiency, communication, and accountability
• Lead special projects and organizational initiatives on behalf of the President
• Coordinate leadership team rhythms (e.g., staff meetings, quarterly planning, offsites)
• Cross-Functional Alignment
• Act as a central point of coordination across departments to ensure alignment and clarity
• Break down silos and facilitate communication between leadership and teams
• Ensure follow-through on key decisions and initiatives
• Decision Support & Analytics
• Gather and synthesize data to support executive decision-making
• Develop dashboards, reports, and insights on company performance
• Identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and innovation
• Culture & Leadership Enablement
• Reinforce company culture and leadership principles
• Support internal communications and change management efforts
• Help drive accountability and performance across the leadership team
Experience Required
• Currently enrolled in a Master of Business Administration or similar graduate program with graduation/completion date of no later than May 2027
• 5–10+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or executive support roles
• Demonstrated experience leading or supporting AI, automation, or digital transformation initiatives
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & KNOWLEDGE
• Currently enrolled in a Master of Business Administration with graduation/completion date of no later than May 2027
• Strong understanding of how AI can be applied in business contexts (technical depth not required, but fluency is essential)
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority
• Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate insights into action
• High level of discretion, judgment, and emotional intelligence
• Experience working closely with senior executives preferred
• Strong business acumen
• Security, risk, or healthcare experience is a plus
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborative and effective at aligning diverse stakeholders around business outcomes
• Proficient with modern business tools (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Office, SharePoint) and comfortable communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
