About the Internship
Our Summer Internship Program gives students real exposure to the commodities trading industry. Interns work across multiple departments, gaining a broad understanding of the lumber business and what it takes to succeed as a trader at TIFP. The most successful interns are curious, motivated, and eager to learn by doing.
**This is an in-office internship (not remote)
What You’ll Do:
• Learn the fundamentals of commodity trading and forest products
• Gain exposure to logistics, sales, and market dynamics
• Build relationships and shadow experienced traders
• Develop industry knowledge through hands-on experience
Who You Are:
• High-energy with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Ambitious, competitive, and sales-oriented
• Comfortable talking to people and building relationships
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Organized and able to manage multiple tasks
• Comfortable with Excel, Word, and Google Docs
