Role Description
This is an internship opportunity for a Human Resources Intern at Valueonshore (‘VOS’) Advisors. As an HR Intern, you will support various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, updating HR databases, and assisting in HR compliance tasks. You will gain hands-on experience with HR documentation, organizing training sessions, and coordinating internal communication. This is an on-site role based in Tower City, ND, allowing for direct mentorship and collaboration with the HR team.
Qualifications
• Basic knowledge of HR principles, policies, and procedures
• Communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with HR software or systems
• Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic and professional environment
• Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• Prior internship or coursework in Human Resources is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning and executing employee engagement activities (festivals, team events, fun Fridays, etc.)
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for event logistics
• Support in organizing office celebrations, townhalls, and recognition programs
• Help in creating communication content (emails, posters, invites)
• Maintain records of engagement activities and participation
• Gather feedback from employees to improve future initiatives
• Support HR team in day-to-day coordination related to engagement
