About Diconium


Diconium is the digital consulting arm of the Volkswagen Group, operating at the intersection of data, AI, and enterprise technology. We partner with mid-market and enterprise clients to build scalable digital capabilities across areas like connected factory, supply chain intelligence, and customer experience.


Our North America commercial team is growing rapidly, and this role offers direct exposure to building a market presence from the ground up.


The Role
This internship reports directly to the Head of North America Commercial and provides hands-on experience across sales, partnerships, marketing, and commercial operations.
This is not a passive role; you will contribute directly to building the commercial foundation of a growing business.


What You’ll Work On


Sales Strategy & Operations
• Support pipeline tracking and forecasting
• Prepare account research and client briefs
• Draft outreach emails and proposal materials
• Assist with coordination of Statements of Work (SOWs)


Partnerships & Business Development
• Support partnership initiatives and research
• Help prepare agendas and follow-ups for partner meetings
• Conduct market and ecosystem research


Marketing & Events
• Support execution of marketing events
• Draft LinkedIn content and case summaries
• Build target account lists using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Apollo.io
• Assist with event logistics and follow-ups


Commercial Operations
• Maintain sales and activity tracking
• Support internal reporting and presentations
• Help identify and improve internal processes


What We’re Looking For


Required:
• Interest or experience in business, sales, marketing, consulting, or strategy
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Based in or able to commute to Reston, VA / DMV area


Preferred:
• Exposure to B2B sales, consulting, or professional services
• Familiarity with CRM or prospecting tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
• Interest in digital transformation, data, or AI

Internship Options
We offer two internship formats:
• A summer, full-time internship (10–12 weeks), or
• A part-time internship during the academic year (15–20 hours per week)
