Pays $20.00 - $25.00 per hour DOE (Salary ranges provided are based on relevant experience and skill set)

Location: Pine Street Inn – Boston, MA (HQ at and satellite offices, all within Boston

Metro) Reports To: Sr. Network Admin/ Network Administrator

Overview

Pine Street Inn is seeking a motivated IT Support Intern for a three-to-six-month term to assist with key

technology initiatives. This internship offers hands-on experience in system upgrades, Microsoft 365

transitions, and end-user support within a dynamic nonprofit environment.

Key Project: Technology Upgrade Initiative:

• Assist with upgrading workstations from Windows 10 to Windows 11
• Help transition staff from Microsoft Office 2016 to Office 365
• Work primarily at our headquarters, with periodic travel to satellite offices, independently or
• alongside IT staff


Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deploy new workstations with updated OS and software
• Support basic troubleshooting during and after transitions
• Unplug, transport, and reconnect IT equipment (monitors, desktops, cables, docking stations, etc.)
• Document completed moves and deployments
• Follow guidance from IT staff and Operations Manager
• Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or certification in Information Technology,
• Computer Science, or a related field
• Prior experience in a technical support or desktop deployment role (including school or volunteerbased projects) preferred
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office products
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record, as required by Pine Street Inn.
• Ability to lift and carry computer equipment (up to 40 lbs)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
