As a Human Resources Intern, you will gain hands-on experience across multiple HR functions, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement, HR operations, compliance, and special projects. This 12-week internship provides practical exposure to the day-to-day activities of a Human Resources department while developing foundational HR knowledge and professional skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in pursuing a career in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or People Operations.


The position is fully onsite, and the work schedule is weekdays from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. This role reports to Senior Human Resources Generalist.


Role & Responsibilities:


Talent Acquisition & Recruiting


• Assist with job postings across various recruitment platforms.
• Screen resumes and coordinate candidate interviews.
• Schedule interviews with hiring managers and candidates.
• Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) records and candidate communications.


HR Operations & Administration


• Assist with onboarding and new hire orientation activities.
• Support employee file audits and document management.
• Maintain HR records while ensuring confidentiality and data accuracy.
• Assist with employment verification requests and personnel documentation.
• Support HRIS data entry and reporting activities.


Employee Engagement & Culture


• Assist with employee recognition programs and engagement initiatives.
• Support planning and coordination of company events and wellness activities.
• Create internal communications and HR-related materials.
• Gather employee feedback and assist with engagement surveys.


Compliance & HR Projects


• Assist with I-9 audits, training tracking, and compliance documentation.
• Support HR policy updates and process improvement initiatives.
• Participate in HR reporting and workforce data analysis.
• Complete special projects related to talent management, training, compensation, or organizational development.


Learning Objectives


By the end of the internship, participants will:
• Understand core Human Resources functions and best practices.
• Gain exposure to the full recruitment lifecycle.
• Develop professional communication and organizational skills.
• Learn HR compliance fundamentals and employment documentation processes.
• Build experience working with HR systems, reporting tools, and cross-functional teams.


Qualifications:


• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field.
• Rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate student preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.


Preferred Qualifications
o Previous internship, campus leadership, customer service, or administrative experience.
o Familiarity with HR concepts, employment law, or recruiting processes. o Experience with HRIS, ATS, or data management systems is a plus.


Physical Requirements:


• Ability to work in an office environment and use standard office equipment.
• Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
