Role Description This internship role focuses on typing and clerical work to support daily operations at The Neppl Law Centre. The position is on-site in the Quad Cities Metropolitan Area and involves preparing and formatting documents, accurately typing legal and administrative materials, and organizing files and records. Typical tasks include data entry, maintaining physical and electronic filing systems, handling incoming and outgoing mail, and assisting with front-desk duties such as answering phones and routing messages. The intern may also help schedule appointments, update case files, and support attorneys and staff with general office tasks while learning about legal workflows and professional standards.
Qualifications
• Strong typing skills with high accuracy and attention to detail, including experience with word processing and document formatting tools.
• Clerical and administrative abilities, such as filing, data entry, record keeping, and basic office organization.
• Proficiency with common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or similar), printers, scanners, and other standard office equipment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and professional phone etiquette when interacting with colleagues and clients.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and follow instructions and procedures in a legal office setting.
• Strong time management skills, reliability in an on-site environment, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
