Engineering Intern – Facility Design | Black Diamond Coatings (Brooksville, FL)
Want real CAD experience on an active industrial build, not busywork? Black Diamond Coatings (makers of DOMINATOR®, AQUA-X®, and OBSESS®) is building a new manufacturing facility, and we're looking for an Engineering Intern to work directly with our Plant Engineer through the design process.
What you'll do:
• Create and revise 2D/3D CAD drawings for facility layout, equipment placement, and process piping/electrical runs
• Help translate process requirements into real floor plans
• Research equipment specs, clearances, and code requirements
• Maintain drawing revisions and documentation
• Work cross-functionally with Operations and Maintenance
What you bring:
• Currently pursuing a degree/certificate in Engineering Technology, Drafting & Design, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or related field
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar (SolidWorks, Inventor, Revit) — coursework counts, no pro experience needed
• Comfortable reading technical drawings and blueprints
• Detail-oriented, self-starter, coachable
• Able to work on-site in Brooksville, FL
