Inner Balance Counseling is a trauma-informed outpatient practice serving adults (18+) in the East Valley. Our work includes general mental health, trauma, addictions, and specialized adult populations. The internship program is designed to provide real clinical experience with strong support, clear expectations, and room to learn.

This internship is a learning experience first. At the same time, it also allows us to get to know interns over time, and strong performance during the internship may lead to consideration for a therapist position after graduation.

Internship Experience

Interns provide individual counseling to adult clients via telehealth from our office. Caseloads are built gradually, with close supervision and support throughout the process. Interns gain experience with assessment, documentation, treatment planning, and ethical outpatient practice in a structured but flexible environment.
