About This Role
Olezka Global is offering a 6-month Cybersecurity SOC Analyst Internship designed for individuals who already have foundational IT knowledge and want to accelerate into a real-world cybersecurity operations role. This program is not entry-level for complete beginners — you will need to come in with basic networking/system experience and the ability to self-manage your workload. This internship is built for highly motivated individuals who thrive in independent, project-driven environments and want exposure to real security alerts, tools, workflows, and SOC operations.
What You'll Do
• Monitoring security alerts and events
• Learning how to set up and tune security tools
• Supporting SOC operations in a controlled environment
• Working inside lab networks and sandbox systems
• Assisting with triage and troubleshooting
• Participating in cybersecurity workshops and workflow tasks
• Maintaining internal documentation and knowledge bases
• Completing product training modules from vendors
• Practicing real-world detection, investigation, and reporting skills
• Shadowing senior analysts (virtually) as needed
Required Qualifications
• Must be local to Austin, Texas
• Must be able to travel to the SOC office in the Lake Travis area
• Must commit to 8 hours per week on-site (additional remote learning time required)
• Must have basic networking knowledge (subnets, VLANs, routing)
• Must understand Windows/Linux fundamentals
• Must be comfortable working independently without day-to-day hand-holding
• Must have strong self-management and time-management skills
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be comfortable with rapid learning expectations
