We're looking for a Content & SEO Marketing Apprentice to help build the content and SEO foundation for a mission-driven pet organization.
This is a hands-on opportunity where you'll work on real projects, build portfolio-worthy work, and collaborate directly with the founders.
The program is a 3-month remote internship, during which you will assist in fulfilling various digital marketing tasks for your mentioned business for 10 hours per week. This is an unpaid program whose end goal is to provide students with a higher chance of getting hired in the digital marketing space after completing our apprenticeship program.

🚀 What You'll Do
• Write helpful, evergreen articles for pet parents
• Create educational content about topics such as emergency veterinary care and unexpected vet costs
• Develop FAQ and educational resource content
• Write landing-page copy and clinic-recruitment materials
• Create simple one-page marketing materials using Canva
• Conduct a basic website SEO audit
• Research keywords and identify content opportunities
• Use Google Search Console to establish a keyword and SEO baseline
• Support on-page SEO improvements
• Help develop a long-term content strategy
The role is approximately 70% educational/trust-building content and 30% SEO.
🎯 What We're Looking For
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Portfolio of published writing samples
• Current pet parent or experience with animal welfare, rescue, fostering, volunteering, or pet-related content
• Working knowledge of SEO and keyword research
• Familiarity with Google Search Console
• Experience with Ahrefs or Semrush
• Familiarity with WordPress and Elementor
• Canva experience
• Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Genuine interest in nonprofit or mission-driven work
• Available during Pacific / West Coast core hours
