Company Description
Ping AI is focused on transforming everyday experiences through practical and intuitive artificial intelligence solutions. The company aims to integrate AI seamlessly into daily life, making routine tasks smarter, faster, and more enjoyable. Team members at Ping AI collaborate across disciplines to build products that are both technically robust and user-centric. Joining Ping AI offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where innovation, curiosity, and impact-driven work are strongly valued.
We’re an early-stage team preparing for launch and are looking for a Product Management Intern to work closely with our founders and product team as we continue shaping and improving the product.
About the Role
As a Product Management Intern, you’ll help us think through what we should build, why we should build it, and how we can make the product better for users.
A major part of this role will involve brainstorming new product ideas and use cases, but you’ll also get hands-on experience across the product development process, including user research, feature planning, product testing, competitive research, and working with design and engineering.
We’re looking for someone who has strong product intuition, is curious about consumer behavior, and is comfortable bringing new ideas to the table.
What You'll Do
• Brainstorm new product ideas and features. Work closely with the team to explore new use cases, features, and ways to improve the overall Ping experience.
• Support product strategy and prioritization. Help evaluate which ideas are worth pursuing based on user needs, business goals, and potential impact.
• Conduct user research. Speak with current and potential users, gather feedback, and identify pain points, needs, and behavioral patterns.
• Translate feedback into product recommendations. Organize user insights and turn them into clear product improvements or feature ideas.
• Help define product requirements. Support the team in documenting feature concepts, user stories, product flows, and requirements for design and engineering.
• Test new features. Regularly test the app, identify bugs or confusing user experiences, and provide structured feedback before and after releases.
• Research competitors and consumer trends. Study consumer apps, social products, lifestyle platforms, and emerging product trends to identify ideas and opportunities relevant to Ping.
• Analyze the user journey. Think through onboarding, discovery, engagement, retention, and other key parts of the user experience.
• Support product experiments. Help develop and evaluate experiments around onboarding, recommendations, notifications, engagement, and new product concepts.
Who We're Looking For
• Currently enrolled in college or a recent graduate
• Interested in product management, consumer technology, startups, or consumer behavior
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable brainstorming and communicating new ideas
• Able to think from the user's perspective and identify product pain points
• Highly organized and able to turn broad ideas into clear action items
• Familiar with consumer apps and interested in understanding why certain products work
• Previous product, startup, UX, research, or technical experience is a plus, but not required
Great Fit If You...
• Constantly notice things you would improve in the apps you use
• Enjoy thinking about why people use certain products and what keeps them coming back
• Like turning messy user feedback into clear product ideas
• Have strong opinions about user experience but are also willing to validate them with users and data
• Want hands-on exposure to how an early-stage consumer product is built and launched
