Jodi Ramos


Jodi Ramos joined the faculty of Texas A&M University-San Antonio in 2023 and is currently a Professor in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction.

Prior to joining the faculty at TAMU-SA, Jodi taught in NISD for 35 years in various rolls including: music teacher, language arts facilitator, writing AST, reading/writing AST, ELA coordinator, and classroom teacher grades K-8.  Jodi is a Diamond Level ABYDOS ( formerly NJWPT) trainer for the state of Texas, HEB Excellence in Education Lifetime Achievement State Winner (2019), Cohort Member with the  NYTimes Learning Network (2020), and is a Funds for Teacher Fellow and innovation awardee (2020-present).

Jodi has a B.A. from Texas Lutheran in Education with a minor in music and  a M.A.Ed from Fontbonne University with a specialization in writing  across the curriculum. She has published two books for educators. Elementary Mini Lessons and A Writers Notebook of Activities ( QEP). Her most recent publication was an article for the NYTimes Learning Network  co-written with a high school educator in Utah titled:  Sentences that Matter, Mentor, and Motivate.
