Margaret Yvette Rizzo received a M.A. in History from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Sul Ross State University. She has been an instructor in the field of education for the past thirty years. She teaches U.S. History courses at Texas A&M San Antonio. Her field of research has focused on educational inequities affecting Latino students in Texas, shaped by public policies from the early 20th century through the 21st century, which have deep roots in historical segregation, discriminatory practices, and systemic biases.
