Academic Work Experience 

Dr. Roberto Saldivar earned his Ph.D. in Marketing from the Robert C. Vackar College of Business & Entrepreneurship (an AACSB-accredited business school) at the University of Texas, Rio Grande Valley (previously the University of Texas-Pan American). Before joining Texas A&M University-San Antonio, Dr. Saldivar held the position of Associate Professor of Marketing with tenure at the H-E-B School of Business & Administration at the University of the Incarnate Word. Dr. Saldivar has also held positions at the Allen W. and Carol M. Schmidthorst College of Business at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, OH (an AACSB-accredited business school) and the Anisfield School of Business at Ramapo College in Mahwah, NJ (also an AACSB-accredited business school). 

Scholarly Achievement

Dr. Saldivar has developed an active scholarly research agenda exploring consumer responses to corporate social responsibility, examining multicultural consumer experiences in the marketplace, and other consumer behavior issues. Dr. Saldivar has published in various high-quality journals ranked by the Australian Business Deans Council Journal List and Scopus Journal Metrics, including the Journal of Marketing Management, the International Marketing Review, the Journal of Consumer Marketing, and Young Consumers. In addition to his published work, Dr. Saldivar has over 15 publications in conference proceedings, has delivered over 20 presentations at national marketing conferences, including the American Marketing Association Winter and Summer Conferences, the Academy of Marketing Science Annual Conference, and the Decision Science Institute Conference, and has made several international keynote speeches. 

Teaching

Dr. Saldivar has taught multiple classes at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Courses include Marketing Research, Marketing Management, Services Marketing, Sales Management, Marketing Principles, Consumer Behavior, Corporate Social Responsibility, International Marketing, Integrative Marketing Communications, and Social Media Marketing, among others.
