Dr. Murphy is a social and personality psychologist with a background in both clinical psychology and legal reasoning. He primarily studies positive interpersonal processes, such as empathy and love, as well as broader topics related to friendships, romantic relationships, and other close relationships. He also conducts research in meta-science and the history of psychology.
