Biography

 

Elizabeth Olaoye obtained her Ph. D. degree in English and the Teaching of English from Idaho State University in 2023. Before this, she completed both her B.A. and M.A. degrees in English from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. In addition to being a passionate teacher of English, her primary research focus lies in the field of Postcolonial and African Literature, where she explores the intricate intersections between Gender and Cities. Her analytical approach involves the utilization of theories related to intersectionality and embodiment, aiming to elucidate novel developments within contemporary Postcolonial Literature. Olaoyes scholarly contributions have been published in esteemed journals such as Research in African Literatures, Journal of African Cultural Studies, and The Bodies Studies Journal.
