Dr. Md Mustafijur Rahman earned his PhD in Mathematics from The University of Alabama in 2025, where his research focused on computational and statistical approaches to biological systems. He also holds an M.A. in Mathematics from The University of Alabama and both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mathematics from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. His research interests include computational biology, biostatistics, and machine learning. He has presented his work at national and international conferences and continues to pursue interdisciplinary collaborations. Before joining Texas A&M–San Antonio, he taught a wide range of undergraduate mathematics courses at The University of Alabama. He believes that "what can be learned can also be taught", and he strives to inspire students to see mathematics as both a creative and practical discipline.
