I am currently the chair of the computational, engineering and mathematical science program. My professional interests are built around quantitative modeling methods for food-energy-water applications. I am interested in integrating physics-based modeling tools with modern artificial intelligence and machine learning methods to model natural and engineered systems. My focus is also on coupling these techniques with stochastic risk assessment and optimization methods to develop decision-support tools. In addition, I also have an interest in spatio-temporal computing, geographic information systems and fusion of remotely-sensed and in-ground data collection using various sensors.
