Arthur Lee received his Ph.D. in History from Johns Hopkins University in 2026 and undergraduate degrees in History, French, and Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin in 2017 and 2018. He is an assistant professor of History at Texas A&M University San Antonio, where he teaches courses on pre-modern world and European history. His research focuses on early modern France, French empire, and the revolutionary Atlantic, with particular interests in visual and material culture, slavery and abolition, and the French and Haitian Revolutions.
