Tiffany Waits

Tiffany Waits is an educator, professional, and lifelong learner with more than 25 years of Federal Government service. Originally from the Dallas, Texas area, Ms. Waits has called San Antonio home for the past five years and has been a valued member of the Texas A&M University–San Antonio community for the past four years.

Passionate about student success, Ms. Waits is committed to creating a welcoming, supportive, and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, learning from mistakes, building confidence, and recognizing that they belong in the college community. As an instructor in First-Year Seminar, she encourages students to view their first semester not as the final measure of their college experience, but as the beginning of their unique academic journey.

Ms. Waits is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Business Administration, reflecting her commitment to continued academic, professional, and personal growth. She believes that learning is a lifelong journey and values the opportunity to learn and grow alongside her students.

Outside of teaching, Ms. Waits is a passionate sports fan. She proudly supports the Alabama Crimson Tide ROLL TIDE ROLL! and the Detroit Lions. Although she is originally from the Dallas area, she jokingly notes that she gave up her Cowboys membership in 1994. For Ms. Waits, sports represent energy, fun, teamwork, and friendly competition.

Her philosophy is simple:

Learn. Grow. Believe. Belong.
