Dr. Lynda Cavazos earned her Ph.D in Education with a concentration in Organizational Leadership from the University of the Incarnate Word. With her extensive background of over 25 years as an educator, she has expertise in areas of bilingual education, early childhood instruction, curriculum instruction, and teacher coaching/mentoring. For the San Antonio Archdiocese Catholic Schools, she is a contractor/consultant as a teacher mentor/coach providing instructional support for teachers. In serving the community of San Antonio, Dr. Cavazos was a board member of the Inman Christian Childcare Center. As a board member, she provided her expertise and leadership in early childhood for the Inman Christian Childcare Center.
She is an analytical and conceptual thinker, which has helped her in early childhood curriculum writing. One of her writing projects was writing an early literacy curriculum for migrant children in South Texas. The curriculum provided literacy tips for parents to help teach their children literacy skills and early literacy best practices for teachers.
