Robin Kapavik


Dr. Robin Robinson Kapavik joined the faculty of Texas A&M University-San Antonio in 2006 and is currently a Professor in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction. She teaches courses in both elementary and secondary education.

Prior to joining the faculty at TAMU-SA, she taught social studies and language arts for several school districts in Central Texas. Her primary research interest involves teacher preparation for the profession. Dr. Kapavik received her PhD in Curriculum Studies from The University of Texas at Austin (2006), her MS in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University (1996), and her BA in History and English from The University of Texas at Austin (1994).

Dr. Kapavik currently serves as the Interim Associate Dean for the College of Education & Human Development. Her professional memberships include National Council for the Social Studies, American Educational Research Association, and Kappa Delta Pi.
