Dr. Elisabeth Krimbill grew up in southern Minnesota.  Her parents raised their family of eight children on a small farm where they raised cattle, pigs, chickens and a variety of crops.  She has dedicated her career to serving others in the field of education and community service.  Dr. Krimbill began her career as a middle school teacher in Northfield, Minnesota.  After her husband served on active duty for five years they settled in San Antonio and raised their three children in this lovely and supportive community.

After serving as an elementary school principal, in 2017 Dr. Krimbill joined the faculty of Texas A&M University-San Antonio in the Educator Leadership Program.  She specializes in Education Law and Ethics, School Leadership, Teacher Evaluation, and Research.  In addition to her teaching and research, she has served the College of Education and Human Development as the Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee, Chair of the Curriculum Committee, and is currently the Chair of the Artificial Intelligence Task Force.

As a dedicated community volunteer, Dr. Krimbill also works with several non-profit organizations in San Antonio and the surrounding areas.  In particular, she focuses her support of organizations that are committed to serving medically fragile children and families to improve educational outcomes and enhance their quality of life.  In 2015 Dr. Krimbill received the Howard A. Britton Patient Advocacy Award from the Patient Institute for her work, “We Can, A Teacher’s Guide to Medically Fragile Children in the Classroom.”

“Be the change you wish you see in the world.”  This quote from Mahatma Gandhi has served as a guiding vision for Dr. Elisabeth Krimbill in her personal and professional life.  She seeks to serve others by using her abilities to be a small part of making the world a better place.
