Dr. Chin-Yen (Alice) Liu is an Associate Professor of Management and Marketing in the College of Business at Texas A&M University–San Antonio. Since joining the university in 2011, she has taught courses in management science, supply chain & operations management, quantitative methods in business, and optimization methods, emphasizing applied problem-solving and data-driven decision-making.

Dr. Liu’s research centers on operations and supply chain management, sustainability, and business education. Her recent work examines the forecasting methods in construction management practices, social responsibility through sustainable operations, and the operational impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on higher education. She has published in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Construction Engineering and Management - an A+ journal on the ABDC list - as well as Social Responsibility Journal and the Journal of Education for Business.

In addition to her scholarly work, Dr. Liu integrates community engagement into her teaching. She leads students’ participation in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program and organizes the A&M Tax Clinic Day held on campus each February, where they provide free tax filing services to qualified students, staff, and faculty.

A recipient of the 2023 University Distinguished Faculty Award, Dr. Liu maintains an active research agenda that integrates theory and practice to enhance organizational performance, teaching effectiveness, and institutional sustainability. Her scholarship and teaching reflect a strong commitment to academic rigor, community engagement, and the advancement of business education.
