Ankur Chopra is a licensed CPA and has been teaching for Texas A&M University-San Antonio since 2013. Mr. Chopra brings a wealth of real-life experience and knowledge to the classroom. Over his decades long professional career, he has held several leadership roles including serving as a Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice-President. His professional career started out in public accounting as an external auditor primarily working with governmental and nonprofit entities with a vision to make positive changes to the community. His experience includes financial & operational synergy, strategic & tactical advising, overseeing accounting & financial functions, compliance with regulations & reporting, and planning & forecasting. Mr. Chopra has led several successful initiatives and managed an organization with over 100 employees and multi-million-dollar budget. For TAMUSA, as a Senior Lecturer, he teaches undergraduate and graduate-level accounting courses.
