Mohammad Abdel-Rahman


Dr. Mohammad Abdel-Rahman (Al-Ramahi) received his doctorate in Information Systems from Dakota State University, College of Business and Information Systems (BIS), in 2017. He worked as an Assistant Professor of Informatics and Computer Information Systems (CIS) at Indiana University East, School of Business and Economics, from 2017 to 2018. In 2018, he joined Texas A&M-San Antonio and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2024. His research mainly focuses on text mining and machine learning. He has over 50 publications, including peer-reviewed articles and Information Systems conference proceedings. He received an NSF grant (Role: Co-PI) for the project titled CISE-MSI: RCBP-RF: S&CC: Building a Smart Mobility Network for the San Antonio Transit to Improve Transit Service and Social Impact (SmartSAT), with an award amount of $299,897. He is a member of the Association for Information Systems (AIS).
