William Kiser


Billy Kiser is Professor and Department Chair at Texas A&M University-San Antonio, where he teaches classes on the Civil War and Reconstruction, the American West, Native American History, U.S. Foreign Policy, and Research Methods.  He is the author of five books and numerous articles on different aspects of the U.S.-Mexico Borderlands. His next book, The Business of Killing Indians:  Scalp Warfare and the Violent Conquest of North America, will be published by Yale University Press in 2025.
