Nelson Hernandez


Prior to coming to TAMUSA, he taught Spanish I and II at different secondary institutions. He taught Spanish and was also the Head Soccer Coach at John Jay High School and helped with the development of the soccer program. He is certified to teach Spanish in the state of Texas. Originally, he is from Honduras Central America and Spanish is his native language. He earned a Master of Arts Degree in Spanish with a concentration in Cuban Science Fiction Literature. His research interests are in the areas of utopian and dystopian elements in science fiction literature from Cuba and Honduras. Currently, he is learning Brazilian Portuguese and enjoys playing fútbol in his spare time.
