After receiving her undergraduate degree in English Literature and Language from Kings College London, University of London (2011), Stephanie Hicks went on to do Masters research in twentieth century English Literature at the University of Edinburgh (2012), where she also received a PhD in English Literature in 2018.

Dr Hicks research interests lie in the long nineteenth century and, more specifically, in transatlantic literary and inetllectual exchanges throughout this period, with a specific focus on British and American Romantic Literature. She has taught undergraduate classes in English Literature and Composition for a total of five years at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, Texas A&M-SA, and Trinity University.
