Petra Baruca


Petra Jakulin Baruca is from Slovenia, Europe, where she has finished her undergraduate degree with a double major in English Language and Literature, and Geography. She has obtained her MA. in English as a Second Language at the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley. Her teaching experience includes teaching English as a Second Language to international students in the U.S. and in her home country. Moreover, she has also taught First-Year Composition courses at the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley as a lecturer and at Texas A&M University-San Antonio as an adjunct for the last two years. She has been teaching Composition courses to non-traditional, first-generation students for four years now and is interested in the new ways and teaching approaches to address and meet the needs of this specific student body, especially in Composition courses.
