Robert J. Cavazos is an experienced Lecturer of English at Texas A&M University-San Antonio who encourages students’ confidence and sense of belonging as writers. He serves as Faculty Fellow for the Dual Credit (DC/ECHS) program, supporting faculty, students, and families by planning and leading trainings and orientations. He also serves as a Corequisite Fellow for the Integrated Reading & Writing (INRW) program he helped create. He has been a Teach For America corps member and Gemini Ink writer-in-residence, and regularly presents at academic conferences. He graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word and North Carolina State University’s MFA program.
