My name is Rocio Gutierrez-Ochoa and I am thrilled to be at Texas A&M University San Antonio as an Adjunct Professor and working with future teachers. I just started my 25th year as an educator and have loved every step of my incredible journey. I have been an Instructional Assistant, a Classroom Teacher, an Instructional Reading Coach, an Assistant Principal, a Principal, and currently the Bilingual & ESL Director in South San Antonio ISD. I  have two children, Anthony and Ashlee, and two cute rescue fur babies Kobe and Bailey. I am an avid reader and love traveling. Spending time at the pool or the beach is something I enjoy doing in my free time.
