Biography

 

Dr. Elsa L. Galindo, Ed.D, is a  first-generation Mexican-American and college grad. Dr. Galindo began her teaching career at Northside I.S.D. where she taught 1st grade, taught 2nd-5th Grade Dual Language, and served as a K-5 interventionist at Edgewood I.S.D., served as Bilingual and literacy coach and Instructional Literacy Specialist at North East I.S.D., served as an Instructional Specialist for San Antonio I.S.D., and currently serving as the Director of Literacy at TGP Charter School. Books have always been a passion and an escape. Reading and writing have always served as windows, sliding glass doors, and until recently, mirrors. Elsa is a proud momma of two amazing kids (Adam & Emma), wife, reader, educator, and life-long learner. Elsa earned a Bachelor of Science with a Reading Endorsement and Bilingual/ESL Certification (EC-12) from Texas A&M Univerisy-Kingsville, a Master's in Education as a Legacy Master Reading Teacher (EC-12), and leadership from Our Lady of the Lake University, and a Doctorate of Education with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction from Northcentral University. Sharing her love of reading and writing is both a passion and her mission!
