Vanessa Quiroga currently serves as the Executive Director of Community Partnerships & Campus Visit Experience and First-Year Seminar Instructor at Texas A&M University-San Antonio in San Antonio, TX. Dr. Quiroga leads five departments within the Division of Enrollment Management geared towards enrollment, outreach, and engagement. She believes that collaboration, innovation, and open communication can lead to success. Therefore, she leads with positivity, integrity, and service.
Dr. Quiroga received her Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership and Organizational Innovation from Marymount University in 2024. As part of her Doctoral journey, her research focused on the factors that influence first-generation Latino students in pursuing and successfully completing postsecondary education. Her mission is to breakdown barriers for Latino students to create better access and more equitable opportunities in higher education.
She previously holds a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M International University and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Quiroga currently resides in San Antonio, TX with her miniature schnauzers, Darwin and Charlie. She enjoys hiking, cycling, and finding the best vinyl record shops in town.
