Cristina Lopez, M.A., M.Ed. is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Office of Clinical Experiences at Texas A&M University–San Antonio. She brings over two decades of experience in education, having served as a Master Teacher, Inclusion Teacher, Instructional Coach, and Professional Learning Specialist. These roles have shaped her passion for supporting both student learning and teacher development while equipping future educators with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed.
Cristina holds a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University–San Antonio, a Master of Education in Elementary Education from Texas State University–San Marcos, and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in Elementary Education from Southwest Texas State University. She also maintains Texas teaching certifications in EC–6, Early Childhood Education, and Special Education.
Her philosophy of education is grounded in creating supportive, inclusive learning environments where students can thrive academically and personally. Cristina is deeply committed to preparing the next generation of teachers through meaningful, practice-based experiences and reflective learning opportunities.
Beyond her academic and professional work, Cristina is a strong advocate for self-care and work-life balance.
