Richard P. Green II, PhD, CPA, is Associate Professor of Accounting at Texas A&M University – San Antonio and has taught at Saint Louis University, University of the Incarnate Word, and Webster University. Outside of academia, Richard served as a pilot for Trans World Airlines flying the Boeing 707, 727, 757, and 767. He also flew the Douglas DC-9 and MD-80.  Between 2000 and 2001 he wrote the business plan for and served as Chief Executive Officer of Azteca Airlines, based in Mexico City. He has owned various startup companies, mostly in the electrical sign and heavy construction business. For many years he was a contract consultant for Land O Lakes. In that capacity he served as consultant to startups internationally.  He formerly served on several boards in San Antonio, including the Air Transportation Commission for the city of San Antonio. Richard is coauthor with J. A. Katz of Entrepreneurial Small Business. (McGraw-Hill) and is the lead author of Investigating Entrepreneurial Opportunities: a Practical Guide for Due Diligence (Sage). He is a member of the AICPA and the Texas Society of CPAs.
