Thomas Rux

My name is Thomas Rux it is an honor to return to my alma mater to work as an adjunct instructor. I am a proud alumnus of this wonderful university, receiving my undergraduate degree in special education in 2014. I hold a Master of Arts in special education from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I am currently in my 5th year of doctoral studies in Inner disciplinary Learning & Teaching (ILT) at the University of Texas at San Antonio.

My research passions include working with and developing new behavioral and academic intervention plans for students with exceptional needs. I am Special Education Support Specialist with Northside ISD. In addition, I am a special education home bound teacher for students of all grade levels with NISD.

I have a passion for working with all students and helping them reach their full potential. As both a classroom teacher and an adjunct instructor, I have a front row seat to theory and application in real time. It is my joy and passion to share my experiences with preservice students to help them prepare for their future roles as educators.
