I am a Communication Professor and Faculty Success Coach. My mission is to teach, coach and empower students and faculty to identify their goals and create professional development opportunities that foster individual growth and success.

Current Roles: 

Director Role:
Founding faculty member of Jaguar Student Media Network, the Communication Program’s experiential learning and career preparation program.
Experience: I have 15 years’ experience in undergraduate media instruction, experiential learning, and career preparation in news, magazine, and broadcast.

Teaching and Learning Role: Senior Faculty Fellow in the Center for Academic Innovation.
Experience: I support the Center’s growth through research, program design, the creation of Faculty Fellowships, and assessment initiatives.

  • 2022 HERS Higher Educational Leadership Services Fellow
  • 2019 Faculty Champion, Mays Center for Experiential Learning and Community Engagement 
  • 2015 Clarion Award for Curriculum Design, Association for Women in Communications (AWC), for creation and implementation of undergraduate broadcast courses in collaboration with KWEX Univision 41, resulting in the Emmy-award winning student-driven news project, Proyecto U.
