Sarah Katz (Flotte)


 

Biography

Sarah is a new faculty member here at Texas A&M San Antonio. Her areas of research and practice focus primarily on autism spectrum disorders (ASD), early childhood, and teacher education strategies. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D) and has been working with children with autism in home, school, and community settings for twelve years. She taught in Clark County School District in Las Vegas, Nevada for six years in both resource room and autism classroom settings. Sarah has worked on grants from the Nevada Department of Education in creating curriculum and adapting teacher and student materials for students with low incidence disabilities and communicaiton/developmental delays. In addition to work as a graduate assistant at University of Nevada, Las Vegas - she also worked as a BCBA for Proud Moments ABA and Sport Social - two community and in-home programs providing services rooted in applied behavior analysis (ABA) to students with autism ranging from ages three to eighteen.
